1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the Kinvest iPhone app (the “App”), developed and provided by DCMA.APP (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Kinvest helps you record and review investment portfolios that you manage for friends and family.
2. Information stored on your device
Kinvest stores its portfolio ledger in a local database on your device. This can include the names, relationships, initials, and avatar colours you enter for portfolio members; stock and crypto asset names, symbols, types, and manually entered prices; and transaction records such as buy or sell side, quantity, price, fees, and transaction date and time.
The App also stores its onboarding and language preferences on your device. Calculated position, cost-basis, allocation, and profit-and-loss values are derived from the local ledger.
3. When information can leave your device
The App does not transmit your portfolio ledger to a Kinvest server as part of its normal operation. If you choose to share a generated portfolio report, the App creates an image on your device and passes it to the iOS share sheet. Any recipient or service you choose in that share sheet handles the shared content under its own terms and privacy policy.
4. Photo library permission
Kinvest may request permission to add an image to your photo library only when you choose to save a generated portfolio report. It does not request camera, contacts, microphone, location, or notification permission. You can deny or revoke photo-library permission in iPhone Settings; saving the report image will then be unavailable, while portfolio tracking remains available.
5. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
The current App source contains no third-party analytics SDK, advertising SDK, account service, or App Tracking Transparency feature. We do not use the App to sell personal information or create advertising profiles.
6. Retention and your choices
Your Kinvest data remains in the App’s local storage until you change or remove it in the App, or remove the App and its local data from your device. Device backups and operating-system behaviour are controlled by Apple and may be subject to Apple’s own policies.
Because Kinvest does not operate a portfolio-data account service, we cannot retrieve or delete portfolio data from a Kinvest server. Please take care when you choose to share a portfolio report with another person or service.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Kinvest, its data handling, or legal requirements change. We will revise the date on this page when we do.
