Privacy policy

Your event history is stored on your device unless you choose to export or share it. This policy also explains third-party processing used for ads and purchases.

1. Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy describes version 1.3 of x Days Ago for iPhone and iPad (the “App”), developed and provided by DCMA Technology Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”). The App records when recurring events happen and calculates elapsed and typical intervals.

2. Information stored on your device

The App stores event names, dates, counts, selected icons, preferences, and the local remove-ads entitlement in its private app storage. We do not operate an account or content server for this information and do not receive your event history.

Local records. The App has no account or automatic cloud-sync feature for event history. Device backups and copies you export are handled separately from the App’s local records.

3. Import, export, and support

Export creates a CSV file and opens the iOS share sheet. Import reads only the CSV file you select. The destination you choose for an export handles that file under its own terms. If you email support, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send.

4. Advertising and consent

The free version uses Google AdMob to display a banner ad. Google may process IP address (including an estimate of general location), device or app information, advertising interactions, identifiers permitted by your device settings and consent, and diagnostic or performance information to deliver ads, prevent fraud, and measure performance. The App requests consent information and shows Google’s consent or privacy-options form where required before requesting ads.

Google controls this processing under its privacy policy and explains its use of data from partner apps here. Purchasing Remove Ads stops the App from requesting or displaying the AdMob banner.

5. In-app purchase

The optional Remove Ads purchase is processed by Apple. The App receives product, transaction, and entitlement status needed to complete or restore the purchase; it does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple handles purchase data under its privacy policy.

6. Notifications and system access

The App asks for notification permission only when you choose Due Reminders. Reminders are scheduled locally. File import uses Apple’s system picker, and export uses the system share sheet. The App does not request contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, or precise-location access.

7. Retention and your choices

Events remain in the App until you delete them or remove the App and its data. You can export a copy, delete individual records or complete events, change applicable ad privacy choices in Settings, and manage notification permission in iOS Settings. Apple device backups may retain app data under your backup settings.

Deleting local records does not delete exported copies, support emails you have sent, or information already processed by Google or Apple. Those providers control their own retention and processing under the policies linked above, and may process information outside your country. Contact us about information you have sent to support; we cannot retrieve event records stored only on your device.

We may update this policy when the App, its providers, or legal requirements change. The date above will be revised when we do.
